Navy SEAL Hammers Obama on Trump 'Nazi' Comment: Try Saying "Radical Islam"
As you probably heard (because the media can’t stop telling you), former President Barack Obama hit President Donald Trump hard on pretty much everything during a speech on Friday.
One of the big lines that that everyone latched onto, obviously, was the one about Obama saying Trump was unable to call the attacker at the Charlottesville rally a Nazi or say that Nazis are bad.
Robert O’Neill, the Navy SEAL who killed Osama bin Laden, had a great response, however: He suggested that perhaps Obama ought to say two words Obama made a point of not saying during his presidency.
According to the Washington Times, Obama made the speech at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and lambasted Trump on pretty much every front, most of them imagined.
Saying that Trump couldn’t even say Nazis were bad, though, was a bit of a stretch — even for this speech.
“We are Americans,” Obama said.
“We’re supposed to stand up to bullies, not follow them. We’re supposed to stand up to discrimination and we’re sure as heck supposed to stand up clearly and unequivocally to Nazi sympathizers. How hard can that be? Saying that Nazis are bad.”
This was, of course, a dig at the president’s response to the death of Heather Heyer, the young woman who was rammed by a car driven by James Fields on Aug. 12, 2017, in Charlottesville, Virginia.
The incident happened during clashes between marchers at the far-right Unite the Right rally and counter-protesters. Trump was criticized at the time for being slow to condemn the white nationalist element at the rally, although saying he never said Nazis were “bad” was a stretch of epic proportions.
You know what president didn’t stand up to murderous bullies, however? O’Neill, a SEAL Team 6 member, brought that up while hammering Obama down in one Twitter post:

Yes, “radical Islam” were two words Barack Obama studiously avoided during a presidency that included war with the Taliban in Afghanistan and the Islamic State group in Iraq and Syria. Not to mention the killing of bin Laden.
And, while we might never know the full reason why that two-word construction was such a problem, you can probably guess it had something to do with Obama’s belief that if we just stepped very cautiously around extremist Muslims, they would become un-extremist.
That didn’t work out very well.
The Charlottesville incident won’t go down as the greatest moment in Trump’s presidency.
Make no mistake, though: It wasn’t an eight-year history of deliberately not confronting murderous bullies because of the mistaken belief that would make them less murderous.
That’s all you, Mr. Obama.
