News Legend Ted Koppel Takes Huge Stand Against Anti-Trump NYT, Lib Reporters

Share

Former ABC News star Ted Koppel has confirmed that the establishment media is out to get President Donald Trump and that journalism is no longer the “reservoir of objectivity” that it once was.

Koppel made the comments were made earlier this month at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace in Washington.

“I’m terribly concerned that when you talk about The New York Times these days, when you talk about The Washington Post these days, we’re not talking about The New York Times of 50 years ago. We are not talking about The Washington Post of 50 years ago,” Koppel said.

“We’re talking about organizations that I believe have, in fact, decided as organizations that Donald J. Trump is bad for the United States.”

That’s definitely the case, and Trump has been saying it all along.

From the top to the bottom, establishment media outlets have made it their mission to oppose the president. And Koppel wasn’t making any bones about it.

“We have things appearing on the front page of The New York Times right now that never would have appeared 50 years ago. Analysis, commentary, on the front page,” Koppel said.

Koppel explained that he knew the media was committed to stopping Trump after seeing The Times fully spell-out vulgar language from the “Access Hollywood tape” on its front page.

“I turned to my wife and I said, ‘The Times is absolutely committed to making sure that this guy does not get elected.’ So his perception that the establishment press is out to get him doesn’t mean that great journalism is not being done,” he added.

Do you think Ted Koppel was right?

“But the notion that most of us look upon Donald Trump as being an absolute fiasco, he’s not mistaken in that perception and he’s not mistaken when so many of the liberal media, for example, described themselves as belonging to ‘the Resistance.’

“What does that mean? That’s not said by people who consider themselves ‘reporters,’ objective reporters of facts.

“That’s the kind of language that’s used by people who genuinely believe and, I rather suspect, with some justification, that Donald Trump is bad for the United States and that the sooner he is out of office, the better they will like it.

“Whether that happens by virtue of indictment, impeachment or election … We’ll see.”

The establishment media has ditched all semblance of objective, fair reporting by turning their outlets into anti-Trump propaganda machines.

Just look at the media’s coverage of Trump since the start of the new year: Among other “stories,” liberal pundits have attacked Trump for bizarre reasons like his choice of breakfast and his harmless “Tim Apple” slip-up regarding Apple CEO Tim Cook.

“We are not the reservoir of objectivity that I think we were,” Koppel bluntly stated.

You can tell by his words that Koppel definitely isn’t a Trump supporter, but he should be applauded for taking a stand against the blatant anti-Trump bias coming from the establishment media.

The establishment media’s crazed anti-Trump frenzy is getting out of hand, and people are beginning to wake up to it.

Even someone completely entrenched in the establishment media, like Koppel, can admit the media is out to get Trump.
