Oakland Mayor Has 'No Regrets' After Tipping Off Criminal Illegal Aliens on ICE Raid
The lawless left becomes even bolder with each passing day, and it’s being encouraged by office-holding Democrats like Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf.
Since President Donald Trump took office, Democrats have used border security as a wedge issue.
Border security used to be a bipartisan idea, but as Democrats have shifted further and further to the left, many now eagerly support open border policies.
When they aren’t attacking Trump’s plans for a border wall, they’re bashing the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency for stopping illegal immigrants.
Democrats’ disdain for ICE has gotten to the point where they are blatantly helping illegal immigrants avoid ICE agents.
In February, Schaaf warned illegal immigrants about an upcoming ICE raid.
“As Mayor of Oakland, I am sharing this information publicly not to panic our residents but to protect them,” Schaaf said in her statement.

Of course, the only residents who would “panic” over such an announcement are illegal immigrants.
ICE regularly stops illegals engaged in other criminal activity, including drug trafficking, theft, murder and human trafficking.
Schaaf’s warning could have prevented ICE from catching dangerous criminals.
Now that the controversy has passed, Schaaf told BuzzFeed News that she isn’t sorry at all.
“I have no regrets. None. The more time goes by, the more certain I feel that I did the right thing in standing up for our community and pointing out our values are not aligned with our laws,” the Democratic mayor said.
That’s a dangerous thing to say because it shouldn’t matter if an elected leader’s personal values are “aligned with our laws.”
If Republicans openly ignored laws supported by the left, such as certain gun control measures, there would be widespread outrage and protests.
You cannot pick and choose which laws to follow based on your personal feelings. Following that precedent would plunge the country into anarchy.
After disrespecting the law, Schaaf had the audacity to claim that ICE has “gone astray.”
“This agency has gone astray and has so broken the trust, particularly in cities like mine, I believe we would all be better served to start from scratch,” the mayor declared.
In reality, the left has gone astray.
Liberals have radicalized to the point where they attack ICE for enforcing the laws of this country.
