Viral Meme Shows the Obama Scandals That Liberals Love to Forget
According to leftists in the mainstream media and elsewhere, President Barack Obama ran a “scandal-free” White House devoid of any of the alleged corruption they claim plagues President Donald Trump’s administration.
“(T)he President was eight years scandal-free — he and his entire family,” CNN commentator Bakari Sellers proudly announced last September during a discussion about the advice Obama had offered in a letter he gave Trump prior to leaving office last January, as reported by NewsBusters.
“And so what we’re seeing now is, if we go to the heart of this letter — he laid out some very practical guidelines that would guide not just a Republican President, but a Democratic President as well, and everybody in between,” Sellers added.
Sellers’ point was that because Obama ran such a “scandal-free” administration, Trump should soak up the former president’s purported wisdom like a sponge.
That might make sense if we lived in a world chockablock with unicorns and mermaids, but alas, we reside in a place called reality.
And in this sometimes bleak and dismal world called reality, Obama’s administration was anything but scandal free.

To cover all of Obama’s scandals, I would need to write a book. Luckily for me, Kevin Williamson of National Review has already summarized some of his scandals.
He noted in a piece last year that under Obama, the IRS targeted “the president’s political enemies,” the ATF “oversaw the illegal sale of arms to Mexican traffickers” and the federal government “made ransom payments to the Iranian government and lied about having done so.”
“Under the flimsiest of national-security pretexts, the Obama administration used the Department of Justice to spy on Fox News reporter James Rosen. It also spied on the Associated Press,” Williamson added.
The Heritage Foundation further noted that Obama let veterans die while waiting to see a doctor, “presided over the biggest data breach in the federal government’s history” and lied about the 2012 Benghazi attack by claiming it “was not a terrorist attack but a reaction to an anti-Muslim film.”
The reality is, as the foundation put it, that Obama “presided over some of the worst scandals of any president in recent decades.”
But because the media is hopelessly in love with Obama, you’ll never hear about any of these scandals from them. And it’s not because Obama’s not in office anymore, since the media have no qualms about continuing to criticize former President George W. Bush.
You know, conservatives often predict that were Trump to cure cancer, liberals would still hate him. I likewise believe that were Obama to literally create a new strain of cancer, liberals would still love him, because to them it’s not about values, principles and actions — it’s about personality. And Barack Obama is one personality they’ll forever love, ’til death do them part.
