Pat Sajak Rolls Out Incredible 'Solution' To Fix Politically Motivated Academy Awards

Share

I will freely admit that I am not a fan of “Wheel of Fortune” at all.

But if longtime host Pat Sajak continues drop pure gems on his Twitter account, I just might become a convert.

Turns out Sajak is a very underrated Twitter follow, as he posts all sorts of hilarious quips to his social media account.

But aside from the humor, Sajak sometimes turns to Twitter to drop some real food for thought, particularly when he’s addressing the American political and ideological landscape in 2018.

Take, for instance, Sajak’s brutally honest suggestion to fix Hollywood’s rapidly growing problem with getting political.

Do you think Pat Sajak's suggestion is a good one?

“Here’s a quick fix for the Academy Awards show: expand it to two nights,” Sajak posted to Twitter on December 9. “On the first night, give out awards, and celebrate the history and wonder of movies. On the second night, hold your political rally.”

Ouch. But frankly, Sajak is dead-on with his assessment of one of Hollywood’s biggest spectacles.

Personally, I have no interest in watching Hollywood elites engage in a multi-hour session of self-congratulations, but if they actually heeded Sajak’s advice, I might actually watch for a bit. I do love movies and if the Academy Awards actually celebrated the history of cinematography and awarded people for performances instead of lifetime achievements, it might be worth my time.

Sajak is a much-needed breath of fresh air among his television peers.

When you have unhinged loons like Joy Behar screeching about how award shows should be more political, showing an utter disconnect with everyday Americans, it’s nice to be reminded that not everyone in the entertainment industry is tiresome blowhard.

Just as importantly, Sajak goes about his business with a certain level of humility and self-deprecation that is sorely lacking in some of Hollywood’s most smug stars.

To his credit, this isn’t exactly a new endeavor for Sajak.

He famously slammed Hollywood leftists telling everyday Americans how to vote. He also ripped leftists for their disgusting behavior during Trump’s State of the Union address.

We need more people like Pat Sajak in the entertainment industry.

Will Hollywood actually heed his advice? I doubt it. Which means my streak of never watching the Academy Awards will be alive and well.
