CNN Personality Openly Tried to Get Refugees to Settle in Swing States

Share

During the 2016 election season, much of the opposition to then-candidate Donald Trump coalesced into the #NeverTrump movement, the premise of which was that Trump was so unacceptable that he could never receive a vote from them to be president, no matter who his opponent was.

Of course, that movement effectively died on Nov. 8, 2016, with the election of Trump, though a handful of stubborn NeverTrumpers still insist to this day on refusing to accept the reality that Trump is indeed their president.

One of those hardcore and unapologetic NeverTrumpers is CNN contributor Ana Navarro, a “conservative” Republican strategist who hates the president so much she has seemingly taken to supporting positions that would help Democrats over her own alleged party.

Case in point is the following Navarro tweet from September 2017, in which she essentially encouraged predominantly Democrat Puerto Rican “refugees” fleeing the devastation of Hurricanes Irma and Maria to settle and register to vote in important “swing” states, thus shifting their demographics to the left and potentially changing red or “purple” states into solid blue ones.

Twitchy noted that Navarro received quite a bit of pushback over the “timing” of her plea to Puerto Rican “refugees” fleeing to the United States mainland.

At issue was mainly her apparent callous prioritization of Electoral College and swing state politics while the American territory was in total disarray and American citizens remained at risk of dying while rescue/recovery efforts were still ongoing.

But a piece several days later from Red State got down to the crux of the matter at hand, how individuals in both major parties were eyeing the “exodus” of Puerto Rican refugees from their devastated island to the U.S. mainland as a potential boon of new voters for their respective political organization.

That exodus had actually been slowly building over the past several years as the Democrat-dominated island sank deeper into debt brought about by leftist policies and rampant corruption, but seemed to kick into high gear in the wake of the tragic natural disasters.

Previously, a majority of Puerto Ricans coming to the U.S. had settled in and around New York City, a solid blue region of the country if there ever was one.

But in recent years, more and more Puerto Ricans were preferring the warmer climate of Florida as their new home — an estimated 1.1 million of them, who tended to settle in the Orlando area, among others.

Obviously, a flood of new Democrat voters arriving as “refugees” and settling and voting in important swing states would have an effect on future electoral outcomes.

To be sure, not all Puerto Ricans are leftist Democrats — and despite incredibly biased media reports to the contrary — Trump likely gained support from some with his quick response to the destruction wrought by the hurricanes that hit the island.

However, the fact that a supposed “Republican” strategist would encourage the presumably largely left-leaning voters to settle in swing states — which would inevitably prove to be a disadvantage to her own purported party — is simply evidence of how deep and treacherous the hatred of some NeverTrumpers for the president truly is.

Even if Navarro wasn’t a supposed Republican strategist and was simply an independent pundit, her shilling on behalf of the Democrat party would still show an unacceptable level of bias in a media personality.

But given her supposed loyalties, it’s disgraceful.

Please share this story on Facebook and Twitter to remind everyone of how NeverTrumper “Republican” strategist and CNN pundit Ana Navarro sold out her own party to strike at Donald Trump.
