Planned Parenthood President Sent Vile Message Directly to White Women

Share

It looks like the far left is a bit confused about what the word “equality” actually means.

Despite decades of progress the United States has made to look past race and see people as individuals, the president of Planned Parenthood just went racial, and called out “white women” while making hypocritical comments about social justice.

Planned Parenthood’s Cecile Richards, who is white, scolded her “sisterhood” at a speech on Sunday that was part of the “Women’s March” events taking place across the country.

“So, white women, listen up,” she lectured at a march in Las Vegas, according to CNN. “We’ve got to do better. It is not up to women of color to save this country from itself. That’s on all of us.

“All across the country, the Women’s March inspired doctors and teachers and mothers to become activists and organizers,” Richards continued.

Yes, America is such a land of opportunity that it’s completely commonplace for women to be doctors, ambassadors, and entrepreneurs — but that’s not real “equality” to the left unless they carry signs and loudly complain, presumably dissatisfied at being doctors and ambassadors.

Richards — a woman who makes a very comfortable living from the deaths of unborn children — credited recent Democrat victories at the local and state levels, such as the Alabama Senate race, to women with dark skin color. “These victories were led and made possible by women of color,” she stated.

Sweeping claims that weren’t backed up by logic — or math — seemed to be the theme for Richards.

“The good news is when we are in full on sisterhood, women are the most powerful, political force in America,” she declared.

Do you think modern feminism is about equality?

It’s a nice-sounding sentiment… which completely falls apart once examined.

“Women of color,” if we assume that this means African-Americans, are less than 7 percent of America’s population, based on recent census data. They might be the deciding factor in extremely close races, but 7 percent of the country alone isn’t going to be setting national policy any time soon.

And women being the “most powerful political force in America?” Well, all females together are 50 percent of the population. That means that if every single woman voted the same way (they don’t), they still wouldn’t be a majority. This is how math works.

That might seem like a pedantic criticism, but it’s an example of a larger problem rampant within liberalism: Emotional appeals that are actually very biased and hypocritical under even casual scrutiny..

If feminism is truly about “equality,” then why are people like Richards speaking as if they want one gender to dominate and trounce the other, while the remaining 50 percent of the country is ignored or bashed?

If liberalism is actually about moving past racism and sexism, then why does skin color and gender permeate every argument modern liberals make?

Can you imagine if a conservative called out “women of color” and lectured them about their voting decisions? Would a Republican get away with T-shirts declaring “the future is male” and other one-sided slogans? Unlikely.

There’s nothing wrong with people gathering or even marching for causes they believe in. Their is something wrong, however, with hypocrisy and sanctimony.

More and more, it looks like far-left feminism is about division, not unity. It seems to be intent on splitting Americans into groups and making them enemies. Sexism works both ways.

A once-noble movement has changed from promoting equality to putting down one gender, and judging individuals based on their race and sex. Preaching superiority and disdain is the complete opposite of progress… but the left hasn’t realized that they’re tripping over their own message.
