NYT Now Preaching Civility. Day Before They Published Trump Assassination Fantasy

Share

The New York Times is now preaching about civility just a single day after publishing a far-fetched assassination story about President Donald Trump.

On Tuesday, The Times published an article by Op-Ed columnist Charles M. Blow with the headline “Rhetoric, Mobs and Terror.”

Blow alleges that Trump “created a toxic environment” with his “overheated, overwrought rhetoric.”

Blow also called for an end to the “madness” in the current political discourse.

“This is the madness, fear-mongering and mendacity that must end,” Blow said.

The Times also published an article written by Alexander Soros, the son of George Soros, with a similar message.

“While the responsibility lies with the individual or individuals who sent these lethal devices to my family home and Mr. Obama’s and Ms. Clinton’s offices, I cannot see it divorced from the new normal of political demonization that plagues us today,” Soros wrote after criticizing Trump.

Soros added that all “demonization” of political opponents must be ceased.

“We must find our way to a new political discourse that shuns the demonization of all political opponents,” Soros wrote.

Do you think The New York Times is hypocritical?

There are nuggets of truth in both pieces published by The Times. The madness and incivility must end. However, they both tried to pin most of the incivility on Trump.

It’s hypocritical for The Times to publish multiple articles blaming Trump for incivility after publishing a short story detailing a sick assassination fantasy just a day before.

The disgusting short story proposed a scenario in which Trump was assassinated by a Russian agent and a Secret Service agent after it was revealed that Trump was “handpicked” by the Russian government.

“The contact shook his head. ‘When it comes out that he was handpicked at the highest possible level, our great nation will be the laughingstock of the world,’ he said. ‘He must be silenced.'”

The sickening story then detailed an assassination.

“The Russian waited until they were a few steps past before he drew the gun. He sighted on the center of the president’s back, and squeezed the trigger.”

The Russian missed his first shot, but was given another gun by a Secret Service agent.

“He opened his eyes. The Secret Service agent stood before him, presenting his Glock, butt first.”

Not only does the story peddle the fake Russian conspiracy theory, but it also details a disgusting assassination attempt.

Trump has been the target of “political demonization” more than any other figure in politics.

It’s clear as day that The New York Times doesn’t actually care about civility. They only care about stopping Trump at all costs.
