Resurfaced Interview: Omar Says Americans Should Be 'More Fearful of White Men' Than 'Jihadist Terrorism'

A 2018 interview with radical far-left Democratic Congresswoman Ilhan Omar is going viral all over again due to her absurdly racist response to a legitimate question, according to Fox News.

Omar was asked by Al Jazeera host Medhi Hasan about the “legitimate fear” of jihadist terrorism that many Americans harbor. Hasan rightfully noted that many are concerned over issues of safety and not issues of hatred. He even listed specific Islamic terror attacks.

Omar, in true leftist fashion, dodged the question and shoehorned racism into an inquiry that had nothing to do with race.

“I would say our country should be more fearful of white men across our country because they are actually causing most of the deaths within this country,” she replied.

“And so if fear was the driving force of policies to keep America safe — Americans safe inside of this country — we should be profiling, monitoring, and creating policies to fight the radicalization of white men.”

Her assertion that white men are causing the most deaths within the United States is patently false. According to the Center For Disease Control, homicide ranks as the 20th most common cause of death in the United States.

A quick look at the FBI Tables 10 and 21 from 2016 reveal that approximately 16,500 murders were committed in the country that year, the majority of which consisted of black men killing other black men. Of course, the race of the assailant means nothing to anyone but Ilhan Omar.

When pressed on an issue of ideology, like Islamism, she couldn’t counter with anything but bigotry. Surely Omar knows that Islam is not a race, but that doesn’t stop her from turning the question on its head and smearing white men.

Is Ilhan Omar truly anti-American?

This, of course, is not the first time that Omar has made controversial statements.

The most infamous of these happened back in March, when she dismissed arguably the most horrific terrorist attack in recent history as “some people [doing] something.” She was rightly condemned by the right  and, unsurprisingly, avoided criticism from her leftist enablers.

Let’s also not forget that she pleaded with a Minnesota judge for leniency in sentencing ISIS recruits and wondered out loud why “America” and “England” aren’t mentioned with the same menacing tone as “Al Qaeda” and “Hezbollah.” Yes, that Al Qaeda.

Perhaps the only thing not shocking about Omar’s statements is the fact that they’re shocking. This is quickly becoming a pattern and she has made a habit out of demonizing white men while turning a blind eye to radical Islamic terrorism.

As terrible as it is that she’s in a position of power in the United States, it’s somewhat refreshing that she won’t hide behind a facade of moderate politicking. She is radical and isn’t afraid to show it.
