Did You See Chris Cuomo Try To Act Like a Tough Guy on Air & Totally Fail?

This was must-see TV.

After CNN host Chris Cuomo conflated alleged white supremacy and the beliefs of Christianity, he threatened to beat up people who say mean things about fellow CNN host Don Lemon.

It didn’t quite come off.

The scene unfolded on CNN’s “Cuomo Prime Time” Wednesday night, when Cuomo attempted to connect President Donald Trump to Iowa Rep. Steve King’s recent controversial comments.

“When a president will not take the opportunity to condemn a message of white supremacy, choosing to do nothing here sends a message,” Cuomo said.

The CNN host then asked his viewers to “factor in” second lady Karen Pence’s new teaching job at a Christian school that, according to The New York Times, does not allow gay students and requires employees to affirm their belief in traditional marriage.

“She’s teaching art at a place where the application requires would-be employees to initial next to a list of beliefs, including certain moral misconduct, includes homosexual or transgender identity as being disqualifying or any other violation of the unique roles of male and female,” Cuomo said.

“The point is that the value of exclusion is embraced here,” he added later.

None of the things Cuomo mentioned are related at all. First, he tried to connect Trump to King’s comments because Trump has been “silent,” and then Cuomo used Pence’s job as further evidence of “exclusion” from the Trump administration.

Should Cuomo stop trying to act tough?

(Then he denied actually denied equating Christianity with white supremacy, but it wasn’t very convincing.)

The whole segment is like watching a crazy conspiracy theorist trying to connect unrelated things to paint a narrative.

But the segment got even more bizarre when Cuomo invited Lemon onto the show.

“There are moments when people do the right thing. God forbid, you and I are out, which happens on a regular basis, somebody comes up and says something ugly to you,” Cuomo said to Lemon before punching into his hand.

“It happens. Who knows what happens to me for doing that,” Cuomo continued, seeming satisfied with his remarks.

The CNN host was implying that he’s willing to use violence to defend his fellow host against mean comments, but it doesn’t come off threatening at all.

“You embrace them. You hug them,” Lemon said.

Then Cuomo creepily went into detail about how he’d violently attack people.

“Yeah, I hug them. I hug them with three knuckles that make their eyes roll into their head and they wake up seven minutes with a headache later,” Cuomo replied.

I would be surprised if anybody was intimidated by Cuomo’s threats.

He should quit trying to act tough. Nobody is going to renounce their religious beliefs about homosexuality because Cuomo might attack them.

In fact, I’m sure many people would love the opportunity to defend themselves against Cuomo.

Cuomo’s tough guy act is just another embarrassing moment for the left-wing media.
