KOVR-TV reported that Stone’s injuries appeared to be the result of Stone attempting to defend a woman against a group of Asian men assaulting her.
“Obviously, they had left the club together,” witness Eric Cain told the station, referring to the woman and her attackers. “They knew each other or something. They had been hanging out before this happened.
“Kinda arguing, kinda hem-haw fighting, pushing and stuff. We didn’t think they were gonna fight and that’s when I started walking back to the store, and that’s when I heard a (punching sound) and I turned back around.”
That punching sound was one of the men punching the woman in the face. That’s when Stone got involved.
“And the big dude, the white guy, stood up and kinda got in his face,” Cain stated.
Stone was vastly outnumbered, and suffered multiple stab wounds, but he never cried out in pain.
“He didn’t look hurt at the time. He was walking with his arms up, you know how you are after you get in a fight,” Cain said. “I saw the back of his shirt — there was a big red mark on the back of his shirt and another guy walked by and I just kinda went, ‘I think the dude got stabbed.'”
The woman that Stone risked his life to protect repaid him by getting into the car with the men who assaulted her and drove off.
Real nice, lady.
Police are still searching for suspects, but Stone was expected to make a full recovery.
It seems like wherever Stone goes, he tries to help out people and ends up getting stabbed for it. Hopefully, this will be the last time he’ll end up in the hospital for trying to help someone.
