There are dozens of videos on the web of the U.S. Air Force taking out Taliban soldiers and Al Qaeda operatives in Afghanistan. While many of these videos have become dated over time, they nonetheless give us a good sense of what our military is capable of and of what they are doing to the Islamic State group on a daily basis in Iraq and Syria.
In one of these videos, taken Nov. 6, 2012, several Taliban fighters were walking through the trees, presumably thinking that they could not be seen by the Americans under the dense foliage.
Unfortunately for them, America happens to live in the 21st century and therefore possesses an array of technology capable of pinpointing terrorists …even when they hide in trees.
In the video, the Taliban walked through the trees until the Air Force AC-130H gunner was cleared to engage. That’s when all the fun began.
Often we read about our soldiers being injured in IED attacks or being killed by enemy fire. It’s nice to be reminded that we are hitting the enemy harder than they are hitting us.
The fact is, there should be much more of this sort of video available with more recent dates on it — and there would be, if President Barack Obama would unleash the power of the U.S. military against the threat of radical Islamic terror groups like the Islamic State group in Iraq and Syria.
