A Toledo, Ohio, man was arrested for throwing a hatchet at his grown son after the two men got into an argument.
Noel Eugene Dawson Jr., 63, reportedly swung the hatchet at his son and missed, but managed to hit the hood of a nearby truck, leaving a large dent.
KSDK reported that when police arrived at the scene, they found Dawson’s son, 25, sitting on top of his father with the hatchet in the driveway, according to a police report.

The police separated the two men and reportedly became “immediately aware” that Dawson was “highly intoxicated.” Officers handcuffed Dawson and put him in the back of their cruiser, where he refused to answer any questions, while shouting obscenities.
He was apparently so intoxicated that he felt compelled to make a face at the camera while his mug shot was being snapped. Not a good idea because that photo has gone viral, giving Dawson a little bit more attention than he probably wanted.
The son told officers that his father picked up a hatchet and threw it at him. Thankfully, the son was able to step out of the way, and while the hatchet missed him, it hit the truck, the report said. The son also said that he feared for his life and the life of his own son, who both live at the residence where the incident occurred.

Police charged Dawson with first-degree domestic violence and assault, second-degree criminal damaging and fourth-degree failure to disclose personal information.
Toledo Municipal Court Judge Robert Christiansen set Dawson’s bond at $50,000.
The Toledo Blade reported that Dawson pleaded not guilty to the charges on Thursday.
