Famous Trump Artist Paints Another 1... Zoom in for the Tiny Message

Share

Sometimes a picture really is worth a thousand words.

And when painter Jon McNaughton, one of the few American artists to be open about his support for President Donald Trump, unveiled his new offering to the public, it spoke a mouthful.

It’s especially meaningful to Americans who’ve been hurt by the doctrines of socialism so popular among liberals since socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders’ run for the presidency in 2016.

In the painting, McNaughton depicted Trump sitting on a bench with a young man.

In Trump’s hand is a fishing pole, symbolizing the opportunities for self-sufficiency the United States offers anyone — literally anyone — with the drive and ability to take advantage of them.

On the ground at the man’s feet are the heretical gospels of “socialism” and “social justice,” the twin tyrannies that drive liberals in the 21st century, and are guaranteed to lead the world into same hellholes they produced in the 20th.

Here’s the full work:

And here’s a zoomed-in look at the lower left-hand corner:

In a YouTube video about the making of “Teach a Man to Fish,’ McNaughton explained that he was inspired by the adage, “Give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime.”

Do you agree with this painting's message?

The key to the message is that the bankrupt doctrine of socialism — “from each according to his ability, to each according to his need” — has been set aside, along with the equally fraudulent goal of “social justice” — the current mantra of American progressives and social justice warriors.

“There has not been a better time, in our lifetime, to prosper than today,” McNaughton said on the video. “The economy is growing, and Trump has suggested, through his educational policy, that people can be taught a skilled vocation.”

“How will Trump make America great again? I believe this mantra is about giving American citizens and equal opportunity to find success. And equal opportunity is different than equal results.”

McNaughton’s Wednesday tweet put it another way.

“You can give a man a pole,” he wrote. “It doesn’t mean he will use it.”

And that’s the heart of it.

In the United States of the Obama years, Americans were actually encouraged to be dependent on government assistance like food stamps, but Trump has changed that.

In the Trump years, Americans are being offered a fishing pole, but it’s their responsibility to actually use it.

It might sound harsh, but it’s the country the Founders Father were trying to build.

No matter how much liberals dislike the dismantling of the welfare state, it’s what the country voted for in 2016, and it’s what the country’s going to keep getting if Democrats can be kept out of power in the November midterms.

And this picture says it all.
