Trump Jr. to Kid Who Lost MAGA in Attack: How About a Signed Replacement?

Share

Donald Trump Jr. is offering a signed MAGA cap to a teen who had his stolen in an assault that went viral.

According to the Washington Examiner, 16-year-old Hunter Richard was attacked at a Texas Whataburger for wearing the MAGA cap by an unidentified man.

In the short clip taken at the San Antonio restaurant, the man is seen throwing a drink at Richard, taking his cap and saying, “you ain’t supporting s***” before walking away. To make things worse, this all happened on the Fourth of July.

“I support my president and if you don’t let’s have a conversation about it instead of ripping my hat off,” Richard told WOAI-TV.

“I just think a conversation about politics is more productive for the entire whole rather than taking my hat and yelling subjective words to me.”

Well, in Maxine Waters’ world, not so much. However, the clip went viral in all the wrong ways, and it certainly became apparent that the anti-Trump man didn’t end up looking so great.

KSAT-TV reported that 30-year-old Kino Jimenez had been arrested for theft of person, a felony. He’s being held on $5,000 bond.

However, Trump Jr. decided he was going to reach out to Richard with an offer to replace the MAGA cap — only with a signed model.

“If someone can get me this young man’s information I’ll get him a new #maga hat… SIGNED by (President Trump)!!!” Trump Jr. tweeted Thursday.

According to Richard, the attack was entirely unprovoked. He’s surprised it’s blown up in the viral manner that it has.

“I didn’t think it was going to generate the amount like what people are doing, I was looking at the comments by some people and ‘they are like this is uncalled for’ and other people are like mixed opinions but I didn’t think it would blow up to what it is now,” he said.

Do you think this alleged attacker should be sent to jail?

No word yet on whether or not Trump Jr. has managed to track down Richard, but I’m sure he’ll be able to — and a signed MAGA cap is an awesome way to make up for the hat that he lost.

The sad thing is that this attack is hardly surprising. These sorts of unprovoked actions against Republicans and conservatives — like an individual who spat on Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi — are becoming more and more common. Unlike the hoax attacks against minorities that the media was all-too-willing to cover, this is the first time we’ve really seen unalloyed sympathy for the victim.

Perhaps the media will realize, as the Bard noted, that these violent delights will always have violent ends.
