Watch: Candace Owens Unloads on 'Delusional' Civil Rights Attorney - 'Progress Isn't a Skin Color'

There’s a cultural revolution taking place within the black community, and Candace Owens is leading the charge.

On Thursday, the passionate conservative appeared on Fox News and took on a controversial topic: Barack Obama’s legacy with black Americans.

Debating her was Daryl Parks, a civil rights attorney. That guest insisted that Obama was better for African-Americans than the current president because he made “black America a focus.”

The actual numbers, however, don’t look good for Obama’s legacy. “Just admit that blacks are doing better under the Trump presidency,” Owens said.

She pointed out the lower unemployment numbers for black Americans under President Trump, and explained that “the numbers are in and blacks are doing better under his administration.”

Then the fiery speaker went on a roll, and scolded liberals for a “photo op” style of activism that seems more about appearing to help black Americans while doing almost nothing in reality.

“For so long, we’ve been convinced, ‘Look, he’s taking a photo op with Beyonce and Jay-Z,'” she said. “That means absolutely nothing.”

Then she took a shot at one of the most “sacred cows” among liberals: The belief that Obama was automatically good for blacks because he was a black president.

“Progress is not a skin tone,” she argued. “Progress is a number.”

Do you believe we're seeing a cultural shift right now?

In addition to the positive economic facts for the African-American community under Trump, the pundit also called attention to Chicago, which became more dangerous for black citizens during Obama’s tenure.

Candace Owens has become a rising star for conservatism thanks to her confident enthusiasm and tenacity. Her message for people to stop being obsessed with the past and seeing themselves as victims, and to move forward instead, is magnetic — and it’s attracted some well-known fans.

One of those is Kanye West, who recently tweeted his support of Owens and her message. “I love the way Candace Owens thinks,” he posted to his fans.

That sent Democrats into damage control mode, with many liberals scrambling to imply that West was not himself or to otherwise explain away one of the most popular entertainers of the last two decades standing up for a conservative black voice.

It may be too late — for liberals, that is. Change is in the air, and a growing number of black Americans are waking up to the fact that the promises and assurances of Democrat politicians have not actually done much for the community over the last 50 years.

“We are on the brink of a cultural shift, and I can tell you right now it is going to be amazing to watch,” Owens explained to Fox News.

She may be right… and it will definitely be stunning to watch unfold.
