Watch: Even CNN Host Can't Help but Call Out Rashida Tlaib's Attempt To 'Rewrite' Holocaust History

CNN host John King deviated from the left-wing narrative on Monday by calling out Democratic Rep. Rashida Tlaib’s false claims about the Holocaust.

“There’s always kind of a calming feeling, I tell folks, when I think of the Holocaust, and the tragedy of the Holocaust, and the fact that it was my ancestors — Palestinians — who lost their land and some lost their lives, their livelihood, their human dignity, their existence in many ways, have been wiped out,” Tlaib said Friday on the Yahoo! News “Skullduggery” podcast.

“And, just all of it was in the name of trying to create a safe haven for Jews, post-the Holocaust, post-the tragedy and the horrific persecution of Jews across the world at that time,” she claimed.

“And, I love the fact that it was my ancestors that provided that, right, in many ways, but they did it in a way that took their human dignity away and it was forced on them.”

As King pointed out, Tlaib ignored the fact that Palestinian leaders allied with Adolf Hitler and reacted to the declaration of Israeli independence with war.

Instead of trying to “create a safe haven for Jews,” the Palestinians and other Arab countries went to war with Israel.

“Yes, as [Tlaib] said, Palestinians lost land in the creation of Israel, but she ignored the fact that Palestinian leaders at the time allied themselves with Hitler,” said King. “And the total war is how the Arab world reacted to the declaration of Israeli independence.”

King turned to Aaron David Miller, CNN’s Global Affairs analyst, and added, “She can’t rewrite that history, and you can’t project revisionist history, so why?”

Should Democrats condemn Rep. Rashida Tlaib?

Miller explained that Tlaib “has her history wrong” about a couple of points.

“Number one, it’s an arguable proposition even had there been no Holocaust. Most of the institutions of the current state of Israel were in place before Hitler started killing Jews,” Miller explained. “So, the Holocaust added urgency and international support, but I suspect with or without it, the state of Israel would have come into being.”

The CNN analyst also addressed Tlaib’s false claim that Palestinians helped create a safe haven for Jews.

“On this notion that Palestinians either negatively or positively helped to create a safe haven for Jews. The reality is that the Arabs in Palestine, Haj Amin al-Husseini, the grand mufti, in Nazi Germany, collaborating and cooperating with the Nazis about what would happen if Rommel’s Korps actually had been successful in Egypt and been present in Palestine,” Miller said.

“They were considering extermination of the entire Jewish community there as well,” the CNN analyst added.

Tlaib’s comments went too far because even CNN admits that her comments were falsehoods, but House Speaker Nancy Pelosi didn’t get the memo — she defended Tlaib’s Holocaust revisionist history via Twitter.

But Republicans, including President Donald Trump, have ripped Tlaib’s comments as anti-Semitic and offensive to Jews.

“Democrat Rep. Tlaib is being slammed for her horrible and highly insensitive statement on the Holocaust. She obviously has tremendous hatred of Israel and the Jewish people. Can you imagine what would happen if I ever said what she said, and says?” Trump tweeted Monday.

Trump and Republicans were right to call out Tlaib, whose anti-Semitic comments were flat-out wrong — and there is no way for Democrats to spin this.

CNN criticized Tlaib. Now it’s the Democrats’ turn.
