Watch: Israeli Children Frantically Try to Get into Bomb Shelter as Palestinian Rockets Target Israeli Civilians

It’s a scene that should make liberals ashamed.

When Hamas terrorists launched a fresh barrage of rocket attacks against Israel from Gaza this week, they once again proved just how wrong-headed liberal support for the Palestinian cause against Israel really is – and the savage depths terrorists are willing to go.

A short video clip being circulated on Twitter by Townhall Editor Katie Pavich conveys the terror Hamas is inflicting with chilling clarity:

“Video from Israel today,” Pavich wrote in the Wednesday post. “It shows dozens of children desperately trying to get into a bomb shelter in 5-15 secs as Hamas launches rockets from Gaza. One lands in the street right next to them. Two ppl are hurt. Where is the outrage for this attempted murder of civilians?”

That’s an excellent question.

Because the outrage among liberals and the Western media in the coming days is likely to be directed against Israel for how it retaliates. Don’t expect a lot of denunciation of the savages who have no problem shooting rockets at cities hoping to kill Jewish children.

If a scene like this involved Americans on American soil – whether it was New York City, Miami, Minneapolis or Los Angeles – there’s no doubt the United States would be striking back against the attackers.

And Israel is doing the same. As the Times of Israel reported:

“Following the rocket launches, the Israeli air force struck more than 140 military targets across 20 sites in Gaza, including a factory for manufacturing facilities, training complexes, a maritime tunnel shaft, and other sites, according to the IDF.”

Fortunately, with President Donald Trump in the White House and Ambassador Nikki Haley at the United Nations, the United States is leaving little doubt that it is firmly on Israel’s side in the conflict.

In a Twitter post, U.S. Middle East Envoy Jason Greenblatt put the blame squarely on the terrorists.

“Another night of terror & families huddling in fear as Israel defends itself,” he wrote. “This is the Hamas regime’s choice. Hamas is subjecting people to the terrifying conditions of war again.”

It’s a refreshingly honest take on a topic that is too often obscured by the mainstream media, which tries to portray Palestinians breaching Israeli national borders like some latter day incarnation of Martin Luther King Jr.’s marchers crossing the Edmund Pettus Bridge.

“This is the Hamas regime’s choice,” Greenblatt wrote, describing the men who have no problem launching attacks that send women and children running frantically for bomb shelters, trying to reach them in the seconds they have before a rocket hits.

But for the American left, like current media “It” girl Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, it’s the Israelis who are to blame for the violence.

Videos like the one Pavich posted Wednesday aren’t going to change the left, they’ve had decades to learn what side in the Israeli-Palestinian fight stands for civilization and what side stands for barbarousness.

But still, it’s a scene that should make liberals ashamed.
