Watch: Kellyanne Conway Boldly Defends Herself, Tells Husband 'You Air Your Grievances in Private'
White House adviser Kellyanne Conway had the perfect response to the ongoing feud between her husband, George Conway, and President Donald Trump.
“Your boss is calling your husband a whack job,” Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo said on Thursday during a segment with Conway. “What’s going on?”
“My husband also has been very critical of the president publicly, which is unlike him,” Conway said.
“He’s traditionally been a very private person. In 2016, which was known as the year of the tweet, George Conway sent exactly zero tweets. So, this is new. And what also is new is not supporting the agenda of the president and my work there.”
The feud between Conway’s husband and Trump started on Twitter, where Mr. Conway suggested Trump has a mental disorder.

Not surprisingly, Trump responded in Trump-like fashion on Wednesday with a tweet of his own.
“George Conway, often referred to as Mr. Kellyanne Conway by those who know him, is VERY jealous of his wife’s success & angry that I, with her help, didn’t give him the job he so desperately wanted. I barely know him but just take a look, a stone cold LOSER & husband from hell!” Trump tweeted.

Trump was referring to Mr. Conway’s previous bid for a job in the Justice Department. Conway claims that her husband took himself out of contention for the job.
While Trump’s quips about “Mr. Kellyanne Conway” are hilarious, one can’t help but sympathize with Conway herself.
Mr. Conway shouldn’t have provoked Trump and put his wife in such a difficult situation, especially when it could affect her job or reputation.
Additionally, the feud put a spotlight on their marriage, which must also be tough for Conway. Marriage is a significant institution, and marital issues should be dealt with in private.
But Conway had the perfect response to the feud between her husband and the president.
“I was raised in a household of strong Italian catholic women that taught me you air grievances like that in private,” Conway said, “so it is very surprising to see it be so public.”
It’s great that Conway is standing up for herself by keeping her grievances private and refusing to give media members the circus they desperately want.
