Watch: The Moment Tired Docs and Nurses See Trump in Their Hospital Is Beautiful
In the immediate aftermath of the horrific massacre at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh on Saturday, Democrats and the liberal media rushed to pin responsibility for the mass shooting on President Donald Trump and his supposedly anti-Semitic “dog whistle” rhetoric.
This, despite the fact that Trump has Jewish members of his family, is the most pro-Israel U.S. president in modern history and has denounced anti-Semitism on prior occasions — not to mention that the anti-Semitic murderer actually hated Trump for being too nice to the Jewish people.
The phony outrage ginned up by the media’s false linkage of Trump to the mass shooting led to a number of local Democrat officials and liberal community organizers in the Pittsburgh area to declare the president persona non grata in the city once it was revealed that he intended to visit with survivors and pay his respects to the dead.
That declaration by the left that Trump was unwelcome in Pittsburgh was dutifully played up by the anti-Trump media, which did its worst to insinuate that the entire city hated the president and he would face mass protests if he dared set foot there.
Undeterred by that false narrative, the president and first lady Melania Trump — accompanied by Trump’s eldest daughter, Ivanka, a convert to Judaism, and her Jewish husband, Jared Kushner — proceeded to visit Pittsburgh on Tuesday.
Following the visit to the synagogue where 11 people were murdered, the president and his entourage went to the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center to greet survivors of the shooting, as well as thank the doctors and nurses who had tended to those victims. That’s where the false media narrative that everyone in Pittsburgh hated the president met its inglorious end.
Cell phone video posted by a Twitter user identified as Sheryl Mascio captured the moment that Trump and his people quickly walked down the halls of the hospital and passed by an area where Mascio and others were waiting, eliciting excited murmurs of “There he is!” and then a shouted chorus of “Thank you, President Trump!” and “Thank you for coming!”

The president stopped on a dime and turned back toward those who’d just shouted at him. He approached the waiting group and simply said, “Great job.”
One of the men in the crowd asked, “Can I shake your hand, sir?” which prompted a round of handshakes with the small crowd by both the president and first lady, as both were thanked profusely for showing up and lending their support.
After chatting for a moment and thanking the medical personnel for their valiant work once again, the president and his entourage turned to resume their walk down the hall.
However, the president stopped once more when someone yelled out, “I love you, Ivanka!” which drew laughs and smiles from everyone and even a thumbs up gesture from the first daughter’s husband, Kushner.
The entire occurrence lasted little more than a minute, but it was a moment that was quite touching and undoubtedly had an incredible impact on all of those who were involved.
Indeed, it was difficult to tell among all of the “thank yous” going back and forth who was more grateful for the special moment — the hard-working doctors and nurses at being recognized by the president for their often unheralded efforts, or the president and his family at the genuine display of support from the hospital personnel.
That brief moment also served as an effective counterbalance to the media assertions that Trump was unwelcome in Pittsburgh, proving once again that the “fake news” media will exploit any opportunity to attack and disparage the president, regardless of the situation or veracity of their claims against him.
Democrats and their media allies are loathe to admit it, but there are plenty of hard-working Americans all across this nation who appreciate and respect the president and the things that he does and is doing, as was quite obvious in this precious moment at a Pittsburgh hospital in the wake of a tragic massacre.
