Watch: Trump Crowd Stops Dead and Sings 'Amazing Grace' During Attendee's Med Emergency

If you want to know what a crowd at a Donald Trump rally is really all about, look no further than what happened last night.

The president was in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on Monday, hosting a rally in Rush Limbaugh’s home town.

Limbaugh was there, of course, as were a bevy of people coming out to see the president and show their support for Republican Senate candidate Josh Hawley.

“The Show Me Center was at full capacity and others being moved to overflow,” KFVS-TV reported.

“Capacity is at 7,500. Guests included Rush Limbaugh, Fox News’ Sean Hannity, Lee Greenwood, Kellyanne Conway, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Gov. Mike Parson, Missouri AG Josh Hawley and even the president’s daughter, Ivanka Trump Kushner.”

Unfortunately, there was a medical emergency during the rally when a woman in the crowd collapsed.

The president stopped the speech and called for a doctor, assuring the medics to take whatever time was necessary to assist the woman.

“Relax, take your time,” Trump said. “We’ve got plenty of time.”

And then the crowd began singing “Amazing Grace.”

What does this prove, aside from the fact that Trump crowds know the words to “Amazing Grace“?

Well, for one, I thought these were supposed to be the violent thugs of the political world. These were the people who make up the basket of deplorables, after all. Individuals who were violent and bigoted and unpredictable.

Of course, this woman was one of their own. However, consider this scene whenever you hear about Trump fans being talked about as if they were hyenas who were trained to behave as if raw meat had just been thrown into the center of a pit.

Do you think Republicans will do better on Tuesday than the polls project?

Of course, no overarching group of political activists is entirely good just because some of them sing “Amazing Grace,” just the same way no overarching group of political activists is entirely bad because, say, violent antifa thugs share the same political tenets that they do.

However, there’s a reason why “Jobs not Mobs” has resonated as a slogan: You’re a lot more likely to find Trumpers singing “Amazing Grace” as a fallen individual is being treated than forming mobs to chase someone out of a restaurant.

That’s at least part of what we’re voting on this Tuesday.
