WATCH: Liberal Media Horrified as YouTube Witness Goes Off Script

Share

The man went off the media’s script, but he was speaking for millions.

In the immediate aftermath of any catastrophe, initial witness accounts are almost always distorted. Perceptions skewed by panic end up being corrected when the smoke clears.

But the words of one witness present during Tuesday’s shooting at YouTube headquarters in San Bruno, California, were true at the moment he spoke them — and gun grabbers and the mainstream media had to be horrified.

The moment came when an unidentified man told a KTVU reporter what was going through his mind as the crime took place — and it wasn’t more laws for abridging Second Amendment freedoms.

It was a desperate wish that he had the means to defend himself in his hands, at that moment.

It wasn’t what the plotline the media has been pushing since the Feb. 14 shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas in Parkland, Florida.

It wasn’t David Hogg and the other sudden celebrity “survivors” being used to unleash a wave of anti-gun hysteria. But it was exactly what most Americans can relate to.

Check it out here.

Do you think this man speaks for a lot of people in similar situations?

“I didn’t have a gun on me, but wish I did.”

Tuesday’s shooting left three victims wounded and a woman identified as San Diego resident Nasim Najafi Aghdam dead of a self-inflicted gunshot, according to ABC News.

After an event like this, the media “narrative” is supposed to include weeping witnesses, preferably outraged that the United States is a free country where citizens are allowed to arm themselves.

Reporters are supposed to find victims railing about how it was all the fault of Republicans and the National Rifle Association that anyone had a gun besides the police, the military and the numerous security agencies under control of the federal government that maintain armies of their own.

That will lead to yet more hand-wringing coverage, anti-gun town hall meetings, and yet another wave of anti-gun hysteria liberals hope will sweep Democrats into power in November.

But this guy went off the script and spoke for millions of Americans who understand that when push comes to shove, they’d rather be capable of taking care of themselves and others than waiting for official help to arrive.

Naturally, social media users had a lot to say about it. There were quite a few liberals criticizing the guy, but there were a lot of sane people, too.

No one can expect to see guys like this in the mainstream media’s coverage. Just like no one can expect the media analysis to dwell too much on the shooter’s background as an Iranian-born immigrant and radical animal rights activist who, according to Buzzfeed, was apparently a member of the local Bahai religious community in San Diego.

This witness went off script, but he described the reaction normal Americans would have in a situation where their lives and the lives of others were in danger: “I didn’t have a gun on me, but wish I did.”

And he was speaking for millions.
