In America today, many civilians often don’t show our military members the respect they deserve. However, there are still patriotic Americans who respect the sacrifice generations have made in the name of freedom.
LittleThings reported that a photo of a postal worker respecting a funeral for a World War II veteran by standing with his hat off in the rain has resurfaced and is going viral.
Glenn Corbett, the postman, showed true respect to a member of the greatest generation.

“Whoever this wonderfully patriotic postman is, I would love to just thank him for his respect, during the steady rain on Wednesday afternoon as the funeral motorcade for my WWII Veteran father passed him. This is what Respect looks like!” wrote Carole Chase-Draughan who posted it on Facebook.

“It just felt like the right thing to do,” Corbett stated. “I couldn’t be more shocked by what has happened … I was totally surprised by the reaction I have seen on Facebook.”
Corbett explained how the whole thing lasted only a couple minutes, but that was enough to make him an Internet sensation, and give inspiration to millions of Americans who are tired of seeing our military disrespected.
Liberals never quite can bring themselves to show our military the respect it deserves. If more Americans would act like Corbett and acknowledge the sacrifices of the men and women who have served throughout the years, this country would be much better off.
You don’t have to agree with the wars being fought, but you should always respect the men and women fighting them.
