Watch the "Worst Parking Job in History" Painfully Unfold

Share

Two months ago, a video surfaced on the Facebook page The Dirty Old Trucker of a truck driver having some trouble backing into a tight spot. As of Monday, the video had 4.5 million views.

The video shows a driver for the Piggly Wiggly grocery store chain — with no specific location given — attempting to navigate in between two other trailers to dock with a loading bay.

That’s when things go off the rails.

Watch the video for yourself below.

The video itself is painful to watch, and it’s hard not to feel sorry for the guy. We’ve all had bad days at work, but that usually doesn’t end with us smashing a 50-foot-trailer.

To drive commercial trucks, drivers need to have a CDL, a commercial driver’s license.

According to Trucker Country, these licenses are not easy to get, requiring a non-commercial license as well as specialized training and background checks.

Drivers who hold them are subject to strict requirements.

Do you think this driver should have lost their job?

The trucks themselves are big and hard to maneuver.

With all the time drivers spend on the roads, they can be more prone to accidents while driving.

Truckers on the original comment section can’t agree on what caused this, but they do all come to the same conclusion: Whatever this driver did, he messed up in a big way.

The video looks like it was taken with a security camera, and the date stamp puts it as occurring on Nov. 20, 2017.

The page’s only statement regarding the circumstances is “It was originally posted here, drivers medical condition is speculation. No one has a factual account of the events.”
