Days Before Birth of Royal Baby, News from Pippa Leaves Fans Jumping for Joy

Share

Fans of the royal family can hardly wait for the birth announcement of Kate Middleton’s third baby. The Duchess of Cambridge is expected to welcome the royal baby any day now.

Meanwhile, Kate’s sister, Pippa Middleton, has some big news of her own. Pippa, 34, rose to fame in 2011 when she famously appeared in Kate and Prince William’s wedding as her sister’s maid of honor.

In May of 2016, Pippa married financier James Matthews. During the elegant wedding, Kate returned the favor of being maid of honor, holding Pippa’s wedding dress train as her sister had done for her five years earlier.

Pippa and her husband said they were looking forward to settling down together and “having children and leading a quiet life.”

And it seems the timing is working out, as Pippa recently shared some big news with family and close friends.

According to UK media outlet The Sun, Pippa Middleton is pregnant with her first child. She is approximately 12 weeks along, as she and Matthews waited until after the 12-week ultrasound to reveal the pregnancy.

Are you excited for the arrival of royal baby #3?

While big sister Kate is nearing the very end of her pregnancy, the sisters surely are thrilled to have spent a few months being pregnant at the same time.

“It’s long been a dream for Kate and Pippa to be pregnant at the same time,” a source told International Business Times in 2017.

According to The Sun, friends and family are over the moon with excitement over the baby news.“When Pippa found out she was pregnant, she was obviously thrilled and utterly overjoyed,” The Sun reported.

“Naturally, big sister Kate and parents, Carole and Michael, were the first people she told — James aside — and they could not have been more delighted,” a close friend of Pippa’s reported. The proud parents expect to welcome their first child in October.

Having children has always been on the horizon for Pippa and James, both in agreement that they wanted kids. After an exotic honeymoon in Sydney and French Polynesia, the newlyweds seemed ready to move on to the next chapter of their lives — parenthood.

“They have made the most of their first few months of marriage and felt the time was right to expand their family,” a family friend told The Sun. The couple will celebrate their first anniversary on May 20.

2018 is shaping up to be a big year for Prince George and Princess Charlotte, who will soon gain a new sibling, and now, a cousin. And with any luck, Pippa will inherit her sister’s gorgeous maternity wardrobe.
