Nothing says “sorry” a fan-favorite recipe. At least, not according to Mario Batali.
The disgraced chef had been removed Monday from co-hosting “The Chew” after allegations of sexual misconduct from four different different women.
By Friday, however, Batali had issued a public apology. Yet, the celebrity chef included a “P.S.” that didn’t sit so well with many, according to Fox News.

“I have made many mistakes and I am so very sorry that I have disappointed my friends, my family, my fans and my team,” Batali wrote. “My behavior was wrong and I take full responsibility.”
“ps. in (sic) case you’re searching for a holiday-inspired breakfast, these Pizza Dough Cinnamon Rolls are a fan favorite,” Batali included at the end of his letter, followed up by a picture of the dish and a link to the recipe.

Former editor of The New Yorker Tina Brown reprimanded Batali during a segment on CNN, where she suggested that the disgraced chef should have offered readers a different recipe.
“How about pigs in a blanket, Mario?” she asked, adding that the statement wasn’t the “right kind of apology.”
Numerous social media users joined Brown in slamming the disgraced chef with disapproval for his casual use of including a recipe in an otherwise serious legal matter.
Others mocked Batali’s attempt at apology.

“You know Mario Batali is very serious about changing his behavior,” one social media user wrote. “Because he included a recipe for pizza dough cinnamon rolls with his apology for sexually assaulting women.”
“When you’re apologizing for sexual assault and suddenly need a snack,” another Twitter user posted.
According to Eater New York, Batali has a history of this behavior, which occured in numerous instances.
The women — three of whom worked for Batali — described multiple occasions where he had groped them or even pressed his body against theirs while in the workplace or at industry events.

And some complaints had been as recent as two months ago, according to a spokesperson for Batali & Bastianich Hospitality Group.
“A B&B restaurant employee officially reported inappropriate behavior by Batali to the company,” Eater stated. “It was the first formal complain about Batali, who was reprimanded and required to undergo training.”
After the allegations from the women were made public, ABC gave a statement addressing the matters, though there was no definitive action being taken yet other than the co-host’s removal.
“We have asked Mario Batali to step away from ‘The Chew’ while we review the allegations that have just recently come to our attention,” a spokesperson for ABC said in a statement.
