
Fact Check: No, Catholic Missionaries Didn't Put 200 Canadian Natives in Mass Graves Near a School - the Entire Slaughter Was a Fraud from the Start
In 2021, those of you with longer memories might recall, the “reckoning” that hit Canada wasn’t George Floyd, but instead the Kamloops Indian Residential School mass grave.
The hysteria began when Dr. Sarah Beaulieu, assistant professor of social, cultural, and media studies at the University of the Fraser Valley announced a study that she carried out on the school run for indigenous Canadians by Roman Catholic missionaries. According to her analysis of ground-penetrating radar, the remains of 215 children were found at the site, according to The Dorchester Review.
The find ignited a media firestorm around the world. In Canada, that firestorm became literal, as churches were set afire in protest. Media sources talked of “mass graves.” Then-Prime Minister Justin Trudeau even bought into it, all but calling it a fait accompli that the children were murdered.
