The FBI has made public approximately 100 pages of documents pertaining to its investigation into Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s handling of classified information while she served as secretary of state.
However, many of the pages released Monday are virtually indecipherable because so much of the material has been redacted.
Some of the pages, which contain notes and interviews conducted during the investigation, are nearly blank.

A disclaimer appearing with the documents reads, “The FBI’s [Freedom of Information Act] Library contains many files of public interest and historic value.”
Most of this FBI document is redacted “per CIA.”According to the American Mirror blog site, these documents of public interest and historic value contain at least 4,500 redactions.

On several of the pages the words “Top Secret” can be seen, which confirms the sensitivity of the information. However, the two words have been crossed out.
FBI Director James Comey has come under a lot of criticism for his decision not to pursue criminal charges against Clinton, although he conceded she showed “extreme carelessness” in her handling of sensitive material.
He defended his decision in July, saying, “I want the American people to know we really did this the right way. You can disagree with us, but you cannot fairly say we did it in any kind of political way.” He went on to say, “We don’t carry water for anybody. We were trying to do what the right thing is.’
One of his most vocal critics has been Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, who after learning of Comey’s decision issued several critical tweets.

House Speaker Paul Ryan also expressed his disappointment in Comey’s decision not to file charges.
“While I respect the professionals at the FBI, this announcement defies explanation,” he said in a tweet. “No one should be above the law.”
