“No photos, no pictures, no cell phones.”
According to ABC News’s Christopher Sign, those were the FBI’s instructions to reporters at Phoenix’s Sky Harbor airport during the private meeting between former President Bill Clinton and Attorney General Loretta Lynch. Now the Cause of Action Institute, a conservative government accountability group, is insisting to know exactly what was said during the meeting.
The group argues that the content of the conversation is still important to the public, regardless of the FBI’s decision Tuesday not to recommend charges against former Secretary Hillary Clinton.

The group’s President Alfred J. Lechner Jr released a statement: “A private meeting between President Bill Clinton and Attorney General Loretta Lynch raises serious concerns about impartiality at the Department of Justice. Today’s announcement that the FBI will not recommend pursuing charges against Hillary Clinton does not remove the public interest in knowing what was discussed.”
The group is officially requesting through a Freedom of Information Act request to the Department of Justice that any email information regarding the private meeting, any and all types of records from the meeting, records of notes or memoranda regarding the meeting, and notes regarding the Attorney General’s decision “whether to effectively recuse herself and accept the recommendation of career prosecutors …relating to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton,” as well as any records relating to the FBI’s restriction on reporters using cell phones or cameras, be obtained.
Lynch told reporters that the meeting was “primarily social” but Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump pointed to the incident as further evidence the system is rigged. Trump also mentioned that this could be one of the biggest stories of the year, referring to the event as “horrible.”

Now that the FBI has said there is no reason to prosecute Clinton, she is off to campaign in North Carolina with President Barack Obama.
