ALISYN CAMEROTA: But it is an investigation.
BLUMENTHAL: It’s an inquiry into whether or not anyone intentionally put classified information where it shouldn’t be. And my understanding is that they will conclude and the Department of Justice will issue a statement at the end that that was not the case.
FBI Director James Comey told Fox News Channel’s Catherine Herridge that mindset is wrong.

HERRIDGE: Critics say it’s an effort to downplay the severity of the FBI investigation and Director Comey said to us point blank, “I don’t even know what that means, a ‘security inquiry.’ We do investigations here at the FBI.”
Hillary Clinton has repeatedly tried to downplay the investigation.
CLINTON: I think it’s – it’s a security review. It is a security review and there are lots of those that are conducted in our government all the time. This is the same security review that has been going on since last spring. I know that, you know, the Republicans are engaging in a lot of wishful thinking but this is not anything people should be worried about. I don’t think anything inappropriate was done and so I have let them decide how to resolve their security inquiry but I’m not at all worried about it.
