Former Fox News correspondent Orlando Salinas has been arrested in Montgomery County, Virginia, just outside of Roanoke.
According to WSLS-TV in Roanoke, 55-year-old Salinas, who spent 12 years as a Miami based correspondent with Fox News, will face charges of rape and forcible sodomy.
Court documents show the charges to be the result of an alleged incident on January 11, 2016, with a woman who is not Salinas’ wife. He does not have any previous record of sexual assault, although he has been in trouble with the law for larceny in the past.

“Both charges include wording that actions were taken against the victim by force, threat, and intimidation against her will,” reported The Roanoke Times.
WSLS also reports Salinas was indicted by a Montgomery grand jury on Tuesday and arraigned on Wednesday with the charges brought following a lengthy police investigation.Salinas had been working at Roanoke CBS affiliate WDBJ after his departure from Fox News in 2012, but he was removed from that position last year, due to differences with management, whom he claimed “have differing views on what constitutes news and these moments happen at media organizations all across the country everyday.”
The firing from WDBJ was apparently Salinas’ impetus for walking away from reporting entirely, as he became a real estate agent last year.As of now, he is still listed with Re/Max where he worked as a real estate agent in the Blacksburg area.

Salinas is being held without bond and is due back in court on October 19.
