“Handwritten by Mr. Trump, it said ‘Must be delivered by 8 a.m.,” Young said. “I opened it and there was a message from him saying, ‘To the bravest woman I know.'”
“It lifted my spirits,” she added. “He continued to do that, to reach out to check on me, to check on my son to see how he was doing.”
The publicized debate over Trump’s history of negative remarks directed at women came to a tipping point when former Miss Universe Alicia Machado revealed that she used to be harassed by Trump for gaining weight. The Clinton campaign has propped up Machado in order to paint the GOP nominee in a negative light.
But Young isn’t having it, and assured Costello that Trump “has treated us with nothing but generous and the utmost respect and dignity. He has been a wonderful support system for me and my son.”

“I wanted to thank you because through you and your organizations, my son, who is Mexican-American, seven years old, through your organizations, and just being able to stand on that stage with you back in 2005, the outpouring of love that came from that, ultimately provided my son when he graduates high school with a full ride to college,” Young said.
