On Wednesday, just minutes after Donald Trump attacked Hillary Clinton as “corrupt” and “pathetic,” she announced that next week she’ll be campaigning with Sen. Elizabeth Warren.
Together, the two are planning to appear in Ohio next Monday. According to a campaign statement, the duo plan to “discuss their shared commitment to building an America that is stronger together and an economy that works for everyone, not just those at the top.”
Warren has recently endorsed Clinton for the presidency. Rumors have begun to emerge that Clinton choose the Massachusetts senator as her running mate. Warren has a background as a progressive Democrat and has been extremely critical of Donald Trump. Reports have noted that other potential VP picks include Housing Secretary Julian Castro and Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.)

Wall Street has expressed its concern about Warren being a VP — even threatening to withhold millions of dollars in contributions. With a track record of being anti-Wall Street, donors are concerned the Democrat party will move too far to the left with Warren at the helm.
Tuesday, Warren asked for small dollar donations for a Clinton fund-raising campaign, explaining why she believes a Democrat needs to be president. She then took aim at Trump. “We need a candidate who fights for the right values — and who isn’t afraid to fight back against right-wing lunatics trying to undermine progress in our country,” Warren said. “Because let’s be honest, the Republicans have nominated the looniest of the right-wing lunatics to become our country’s next commander-in-chief.”
