Husband Wrestles Gun Away, Delivers Cold, Hard Justice to Thug Attacking Wife

Share

Being a husband entails many things.

Supporting your wife, treating her well, and helping raise children are all important aspects of being a husband. My wife may jokingly disagree that I personally always exhibit those traits, but I’m at least cognizant that those are important.

But perhaps more importantly than all of that, a husband is to protect his wife. No matter what.

A tale of a brave husband should always be lauded, as report Monday from WAGA-TV in Atlanta chronicles.

According to WAGA-TV, a husband and wife ended up in a hospital after a horrifying encounter with a gunman.

After the wife was shot in the arm, the husband wrestled the gun away and shot and killed the assailant.

That, in short, is what you call justice.

The terrifying incident occurred Sunday in a home on Donnebrook Lane in southeast Atlanta.

The police told WAGA-TV the incident started over an argument between a renter and the aforementioned wife. The renter threatened to kill the woman before proceeding to shoot her in the arm.

That’s when the husband leaped into action, charging the gunman. The husband was shot as well, but was still able to forcefully take the weapon and kill the gunman.

The wounded gunman reportedly burst through a window in the backyard, where he eventually died.

Now, I’d never want to wantonly celebrate the loss of human life, but justice is justice. The husband and wife were ultimately taken to a nearby hospital where they’re both in stable condition.

All parties involved in the incidents were adults in their 30s and 50s.

But the best part of the story may be the fact that police told WAGA-TV that they don’t expect there to be any charges because it was an obvious act of “self-defense.”

Look, it’s no secret that the far left has an inexplicable fear and hatred for gun rights. They would probably try to argue that this story of the husband disarming and killing a shooter is proof that we don’t need guns, or that this entire ordeal could’ve been avoided had the assailant not had a gun.

I’d argue the exact opposite. Had the husband had his own gun, he may have been able to avoid any hospital trip at all for himself and his wife.

If anything, had the husband had a gun, it may have even dissuaded the would-be-killer.

And claiming that if the assailant didn’t have a gun, this would never have happened is a fallacy as well. Evil people will find ways to do evil things, whether it’s a shiv, bomb or gun.

Thankfully, in this story, there was a good guy who was able to thwart the bad guy.

And he did it with a gun.
