This Saturday night, Saul “Canelo” Alvarez will battle Amir Khan for a middleweight championship in the city where big fights happen, Las Vegas, Nevada. This past Saturday night, a much less anticipated fight took place in the city where budget meetings and legislative proposals happen.
According to several witnesses, late in the evening at a White House Correspondent’s dinner after-party in the nation’s capital, Fox News Channel’s Jesse Watters and Huffington Post’s Ryan Grim got into a scuffle that resulted in fists flying. The fight was broken up before any real damage could be done, but it is safe to say the two men will not be exchanging Christmas cards this year.
According to reports, Grim did not appreciate how Watters, in his role as “ambush guy” for Fox News host Bill O’Reilly, treated his colleague, Huffington Post’s Amanda Terkel, several years ago. Grim decided to return the favor by following Watters around and recording him on his phone. Watters did not take kindly to this and took the phone from Grim. It was at this point that a fight broke out.

“Punches were definitely thrown,” said a witness, according to the Washington Post.

Asked for comment, a Fox News spokesperson said that Watters would eventually address the issue on Fox’s O’Reilly Factor. Grim was unapologetic, implying that Watters, who has made a career of ambushing people, could not handle the taste of his own medicine. “Ambush guy can’t take being ambushed. Maybe he should think about his life choices,” he said.
