Joanna Gaines Shares Name & First Photos of Baby No. 5 from Hospital

Share

If you’ve been watching social media like a hawk, waiting for another announcement to follow the announcement of the week, look no further. Our favorite “Fixer Upper” family has officially shared the name and first photos of their newest addition to the Gaines crew.

The baby’s name may come as quite a surprise to those who follow the HGTV couple closely. While Chip and Joanna have chosen “D” names for their boys in the past, boy number three has ushered in a change.

All the Gaines children have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of their youngest sibling.

Joanna even shared one of her favorite photos on social media, featuring her older children listening in at the hospital door, ready to meet the little man.

The baby’s birth was announced by Chip on Twitter on Saturday, June 23, 2018. The real-life Mr. Fix-It dad assured fans that Joanna was doing well.

Back in April, the couple shared their hopes for the baby’s name in an interview on the Today show. While Chip admitted he was holding out for a “D” name to go along with their sons, Drake and Duke, Joanna chimed in with her personal feelings on the matter.

“I want a C name, he wants a D name,” Joanna shared. “I say he got the boy, so I get to pick the name.”

It would appear mom won this round, because the new Gaines baby did not, in fact, get a “D” name like dad wanted. Just one more example of how much this man adores his sweet wife.

Joanna’s most recent post on social media revealed their son’s name is Crew Gaines. Looks like the Magnolia momma got her wish for a “C” name after all.

The hashtag Chip used in the birth announcement on Twitter only confirms the joy he feels over his wife, their children, and their new bundle. If you can see the way the man looks at his wife, there’s no doubt he truly does feel “#blessedBeyondBelief.”

While the couple may not be toting little Crew along on film shoots this fall since “Fixer Upper” has officially ended, fans can still expect to see their favorite ship-lappers doing their thing. With the Magnolia Home line available at Target, and Jo’s latest book, “Homebody,” set to release in November, this family will remain an icon in the eyes of their followers.

Plus, the Gaines are great about sharing their special moments online. I mean, who can deny those first photos are anything but heartwarming?

Thanks for sharing, Joanna. We wish you and your family all the best during this new season.
