Josiah Duggar and Wife Reveal Sex of 'Miracle' Baby Less Than a Year After Heartbreaking Miscarriage

Share

It’s the year of baby blessings and miracles for the Duggar family as they prepare to welcome not one, but two more bundles of joy into their bunch.

TLC’s “Counting On” star Jessa Duggar Seewald and her husband, Ben, welcomed baby girl Ivy Jane on May 26, 2019.

“We’re so grateful to God for this precious gift,” the couple shared on their blog. “She is already so loved. Her big brothers adore her!”

Now Ivy Jane will have a pair of cousins close behind her. Joseph Duggar and wife, Kendra, announced on The Duggar Family website in the spring that they’re expecting a second child, due later in 2019.

The pair revealed the gender of the new baby on Instagram. Joseph and Kendra can be seen posing with their son, Garrett, who wears a blue shirt with a number one on the front. Beside him, Kendra holds up a pink onesie with a number 2.

“We are so excited to announce the gender of baby number #2….It’s a GIRL,” they wrote. “We are so thrilled to welcome our sweet baby girl this November!”

Now even more exciting news has come about with the announcement of Josiah and Lauren Duggar’s baby gender reveal.

The TLC stars suffered incredible heartbreak earlier this year. In February they opened up about the miscarriage Lauren had in the fall of 2018.

But God is good and Josiah and Lauren probably shed some tears of joy when they announced their second child is on the way.

“We are so excited to announce that baby #2 is on [the] way!!!!” they wrote on Instagram in May. “It’s hard to fully express just how grateful we are for God blessing us again with another precious gift!”

The announcement featured Josiah beside Lauren with a baby bump and a white balloon — symbolizing baby girl Asa in heaven — in the background.

The pair is calling the new baby their “Rainbow after the storm. Baby #2.” They shared a photo with People with these words featured on a sign.

Josiah and Lauren announced they’re also expecting a baby girl in a photo slideshow on Instagram.

“God’s faithfulness to us in our most difficult moments has sustained us and brought us such love and comfort,” the hopeful parents told US Weekly.

“We cannot begin to tell you how much we are looking forward to holding this baby in our arms this fall. Every good and perfect gift is from above and we are looking forward to this new season of parenting together!”

Lauren shared more sentiments about the baby on the family’s website: “If she only knew how loved she is already and how many people are already praying for her! She truly is a gift… a miracle from God.”

What a wonderful way to celebrate. The couple revealed the gender of the new baby at a party with their family. A balloon with pink confetti inside broke the blessed news.
