Lewis Lusk had dreams of becoming a country singer but put his plans and dreams on hold for his family. NBC’s The Today Show followed Lusk into Memphis as he was slated to play a couple of country tunes at a luncheon, but there wasn’t a gig. Instead, there were other plans in store for him that day.
Met by NBC’s Al Roker at the supposed “gig,” Lusk’s plans changed as he was walked to a nearby tour bus to be greeted and surprised by his entire family. The bus started rolling and Lusk still didn’t know where they were going until they arrived at Memphis’ legendary Sun Studio, where artists like Elvis and Johnny Cash recorded tunes.
