96-Year-Old Woman Has Priceless Reaction to Seeing Snow: 'I Have To Say Thanks God'
For many, the snow of winter is dreadful and disappointing. Long gone are the dog days of summer, replaced by cold, wind and plenty of snow.
But one 96-year-old woman’s reaction to seeing snow for the first time may warm your heart.
Armando Trull’s mother, Oria Carrera, moved to Washington from Miami and finally was delighted with a dusting of snow, according to NPR.
On Nov. 15, Carrera got to see her first snowfall in what she recalled as a “long, long, long, time.”
Watching the snow fall and cover the yard, her face lights up in the most amazing of ways.
“I feel so happy,”Carrera said.
In the video, Carrera appears to transform to her younger self with the wide-open eyes of a child that can finally play in all the powder.
She just can’t believe what she is seeing.
You just have to watch as this wonderful woman shows her love of snow and the true miracle that it is.
When she gets to finally touch the snow, she squeals with delight, unlike anything you would typically see a 96-year-old woman do.
“I have to say thanks God, for giving me the opportunity to watch something that I love and yearn very much,” she said.
“Thank, thank, thank you God!”
To watch someone so thankful to see snow for the first time in a long time is a wonderfully refreshing change of pace.
Carrera even gets a chance to throw a snowball, which we all know is the best part of winter.
This wonderful woman’s video has gone viral, racking up more than 387,000 views and over 17,000 likes on Twitter in only 24 hours – quite an amazing feat.
