She Creates Work of Art with Pantyhose, Wildflower, Cabbage and One Egg

Share

It’s no secret that art is subjective on many levels, but still many famous artists have stunned the world with their masterpieces. However, the art of one creative woman shows only a few household items are needed to create beautiful works of art right in your own kitchen.

In a now-viral video posted by Gaza FM Magazine, a woman transformed pantyhose, wildflowers, cabbage, onions and eggs into incredible works of art.

The art project really begins with a standard pair of pantyhose that are delicately cut into width-length pieces.

Next, she picks up an egg, which she adorns with a simple wildflower or lush leave.

Then a pantyhose piece is wrapped around each egg and then tied in a tight knot.

The video next shows the woman using pots of red cabbage and onion peels to color the eggs to create the amazing after effect.

This process is similar to dying eggs for Easter, except instead of buying the traditional dip-dye packs, you are soaking the eggs in the natural colors of cabbage and onions.

The eggs are put either in the cabbage or onion pots and then water is added. The pots are next carried to the stove and boiled.

Would you try to create this type of art at home?

Cooling happens next as the pots of cabbage, onions and eggs are transferred to the refrigerator.

Five to 12 hours later, the art masterpiece is ready to be revealed.

The woman digs the eggs out from the layers of cabbage and onions. They are covered in either a brown or purple hue, depending on which pot they were soaked, cooked and cooled in.

The pantyhose is cut away from the eggs, and the beauty is about to unfold right before your very eyes.

Any remaining leaves and flowers are removed from the eggs, and the eggs are dried with a cloth.

There, you have it! Single eggs naturally colored with a white impression of the leave or flower they were paired with.

The result is nothing short of magnificent. An art project that seems worthy of an award that can be done right in your own home with what you might already have in your cupboards.

This woman shows that the beauty of art is in the eye of the beholder. And just about anything can be used to create smart works of art.

We know you want to try this! Grab your pantyhose and eggs and get started.
