Music can reach all generations at all times in life. It warms the heart and helps to mend the soul. But when your family is the one doing the singing, it can bring a whole new meaning to the lyrics being sung.

Kayla Hartman took the opportunity to provide a loving tribute to her ailing grandfather through the gift of song, according to the Good News Network.

Wanting to cheer him up, she knew that a meaningful tune would do just the trick.

Together with her daughter, Hartman sang an emotional tribute to the man that meant so much to her growing up.

The results were nothing short of tear-jerking, and it was all caught on video, too.

The emotional moments kept rolling as the music from the voices of his angels literally swept over him.

He clapped for their performance, and they lovingly kissed his hands.

Tears welled up in his eyes, and he had a peaceful look on his face as he listened on to his daughter and granddaughter sing just for him.

Laying in bed, the grandfather still showed his love of music and his family — surely remembering those “good old days” as the song goes.

The moment was emotional for all involved, and Hartman family will now have a video memory of making their grandfather happy beyond words.
