Queen Elizabeth II Will Now Have Two Royal Weddings to Attend in 2018

Ah, the royals. We love to follow them through all of the good times and the bad.

Though they are way across the pond, we can’t help ourselves from wanting to know all that is going on at the palace.

It looks like 2018 will be a year filled with celebration for the Queen and her crew as a second engagement was announced to the public.



As watchers still felt the excitement of Prince Harry and his engagement to Meghan Markle, Princess Eugenie made her big announcement, she and long time boyfriend Jack Brooksbank have become engaged!

Princess Eugenie is the 27-year-old daughter of Sarah “Fergie” Ferguson, the Duchess of York, and Prince Andrew.

The couple had been dating close to seven years before he popped the question.

“The wedding will take place in the autumn of 2018 at George’s Chapel in Windsor, with further details to be announced in due course,” said her parents in an announcement.

It looks like the Queen will have her hands full with two royal weddings on the calendar.

St George’s Chapel and Windsor Castle will have a busy year. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will have their wedding there in May, mere months prior to Princess Eugenie.

Princess Eugenie met Brooksbank while skiing in Switzerland and have been together since.

The Duchess of York posted a picture of the two with the comment, “Eugenie is one of the finest people I know and so together it will be pure harmony.”

The couple posed for pictures at Buckingham Palace where Princess Eugenie was able to show off her engagement ring.

It displayed rare padparadscha sapphires surrounded by diamonds.

Brooksbank is a socialite and former manager of the nightclub Mahiki, a popular hangout for the rich and famous.

Princess Eugenie is the patron of several organizations, including the Teenage Cancer Trust, the European School of Osteopathy and animal charity the Elephant Family.

Brooksbank’s parents were also thrilled about the engagement. “We are completely over the moon and are very excited for them both,” they said.

The two seem to truly adore each other and are completely in love. What a happy time for the beloved royals. Now we will just have to wait to see all of the prenuptial details.
