Complete Strangers Stand for Hours with Signs of Love After Spotting Man on Ledge of Building

Share

One man stood on the ledge of a building, looking down at the street below and contemplating whether or not he would jump.

He probably felt desperate, alone, sad, and hopeless with no one to turn to for comfort.

People passing by could have easily let this man be by himself, choosing not to get involved because it isn’t their life.

But they didn’t. Instead, a group of people took things into their own hands to show that the man was not alone.

Standing on the ground below, the group gathered with encouraging signs and songs. They didn’t know the man or his story, but they knew they could help.

“You are valued,” “You are loved,” and “You’re not alone” were some of the messages scribbled on the signs and held up for the man on the building.

They even sang “Lean on Me” by Bill Withers, banding together to show this man that people cared.

These people didn’t just pass by, they decided to help and get personally involved.

“I don’t have the heart to leave this guy,” Timber Daniel said.

The man stayed on the edge of the building for fifteen hours, and the people down below were with him every step of the way.

Police and firefighters had been alerted to the man on top of a three-story building, and eventually were able to get him off the roof to safety and took him to a hospital.

This might not have been possible without the help of the group of people who put their lives on hold just to help one man.

My faith in humanity has been restored. The compassion of these complete strangers shows that just a simple act of kindness can change someone’s life.
