Dog Starts Panting To Help Rock Baby While Lying on Couch
When you think of caring for a baby, you don’t usually think of dogs to be up to the task. Babies are tiny and unpredictable, and dogs have teeth and can also be unpredictable in new situations.
A new baby in the house can spark curiosity in the pooch and he will sniff to determine what the little child is.
Once they decide to be friends though, our loyal companions can be very useful in the daunting task of parenting.
It turns out that our furbabies can even make great nannies for our human babies.
Take Simba, for example. The Jack Russel mix was hanging out with his baby human, Danni, and decided to teach the kid a new trick.
Simba started pulling himself around on the floor, demonstrating how Danni could crawl after him.
Before he knew it, the baby was crawling right behind him, learning quickly from the dog.
A greyhound in a different family found the perfect way to rock his baby human to sleep, and he doesn’t even have hands!
The parents were trying to figure out the best way to relax their fussy baby. According to parents.com, one of the 23 best ways to calm a newborn is by creating some good vibrations.
The website suggests putting the child in an infant seat and placing it on top of a dryer while it is running, but these parents had a better idea.
Their family dog was panting pretty heavily, shaking its entire body while he was lying on his side on the couch.
The baby was placed against his body, with her back and head supported by the dog’s belly. It worked like a charm!
Both dog and baby seemed pretty relaxed by the process. The greyhound probably enjoyed being able to help with his tiny human and has made a new best friend in the process.
