Newborn Baby's Heart Stops, Minutes Go By Then Mother Sees Vision of Jesus in the Room
Miracles happen every day.
Sometimes it’s in the subtlest of things, like a vision in the clouds.
But sometimes it is truly inexplicable, mesmerizing and often full of speculation.
So when Nathaniel and Hayley Oliveri had their baby girl, Gabriella, the events that immediately followed her birth were entirely unexpected.
Nathaniel and Hayley agreed that during labor, Hayley would not fear, but rather they would pray and trust God.
“I decided I didn’t want to have any fear during the birth, and that was something that was very important to me,” Hayley said.
Nathaniel added, “When Hayley was in labor, the nurses kept commenting on how peaceful we were — they weren’t used to that. And then I would pray for her, and they definitely weren’t used to that.”
The two new parents were overjoyed when they first saw their daughter.
Yet, about half an hour after she was born, doctors noticed Gabriella wasn’t breathing regularly and needed oxygen.
“She started to have some breathing problems and needed some oxygen, so at that time we got the pediatrician to come in and help us as well,” Amy Plowman, their midwife, said.
Once the pediatricians came in, Gabriella began deteriorating quickly.
“It kept getting worse and worse,” Hayley said.
They had the tiny baby on oxygen and were trying to find her tiny veins, but they kept failing.
Gabriella became unconscious as they sedated her and intubated her to give her 100 percent oxygen.
Five minutes after the intubation, her heart stopped.
The whole time, the young couple decided not to fear or panic while the doctors gave CPR, but rather they went into the other room and decided to pray.
“Nathaniel just said to me, ‘Let’s have no fear. Let’s just pray and let’s just believe God,'” Hayley said. “I put my hand in his hand and the nurse next to us put her hands on our hands and she said, ‘Let’s pray.'”
They soon noticed that the nurse praying with them was their own midwife, Amy, and she was a Christian.
It was then that Hayley had a vision of Jesus walking into the room and putting His hand on tiny Gabriella.
Four minutes after Gabriella’s heart stopped beating and immediately after the vision, Gabriella’s heartbeat came back.
This miracle has left many skeptical and others stunned, but regardless of belief, Gabriella’s little life is what remains a miracle for all.
