Posing by the Christmas Tree Used To Be the 'Bee's Knees' According to This Viral Photo Album

Share

Every year since the very beginning, Christmas time has been a time of joy and family. From family traditions to singing Christmas carols to celebrating the birth of Jesus, Christmas brings people together.

Across the world, Christmas is celebrated in different ways, but in the United States, Christmas trees are always a major holiday tradition.

Christmas trees make a statement for each household during Christmas time –each family can establish their own personal style in decorating their trees, and trees can symbolize something different in each family.

For example, the Boone County Sheriff’s Office in Indiana chose to dedicate their Christmas tree to the lives of the 142 fallen police officers from that year, and decorated their tree with all blue ornaments.

Christmas trees are clearly a symbol of originality and pride for each family. And according to one Facebook user, posing in front of Christmas trees used to be the “bee’s knees.”

Facebook user Father Nathan Monk recently posted a photo album on his page about the seemingly lost tradition of posing in front of your Christmas tree.

“Apparently, posing with your tree used to be the bees knees. I’m 1000% in love with this,” he wrote.

His post features pictures of women decades ago posing in front of their Christmas trees.

Many of the women wear a fancy dress to show off their newly decorated tree for the holidays!

Some women pose dressed up in their best holiday-wear, while others show off their pets and family members.

What better backdrop for the holidays than the tree that you spend hours decorating with your family?

Looking at these old-time photos definitely takes us back to when this kind of thing really was the “bee’s knees!”

Now, every time you look at your Christmas tree, think about how popular it used to be to pose in front of them like this. Maybe you can get a wonderful family photo out of it!
