Christian Singer's Baby Found Lifeless and Not Breathing, Then They Start to Pray

Share

It was a moment that would send chills down any parent’s spine. What started as an ordinary day became one that would change a family’s life.

Luke Smallbone, one of the lead singers of the Christian pop duo “for KING & COUNTRY,” had been spending a relaxing day at home, mowing his lawn.

Then, he heard his wife, Courtney, screaming for him to call 911.

When he looked up, she was holding their infant son, Leo. Courtney had checked on Leo while he was napping and found him looking lifeless.

As Smallbone explained in an Instagram post, Courtney had “felt God impress on her to check on him while he was napping.” Thankfully, she found him in time.

The couple began to pray and performed CPR until Leo began breathing again. Leo was then taken to the hospital, where doctors ran tests to learn just what had happened.

Doctors were unsure of what caused him to stop breathing. However, the battery of tests helped doctors determine little Leo needed reconstructive skull surgery.

Smallbone immediately took to social media to ask for prayers for his baby boy.

He noted that although it pained him to see his son suffer, he was grateful his son could receive help and healing.

Placing his trust and faith in God, Smallbone believed his son would be OK. It wasn’t long before Leo was out of surgery, and doctors said his prognosis was good.

Doctors expected Leo to stay in the hospital for at least a week following his surgery. Three days later, however, they returned with amazing news.

Smallbone took to Twitter to share the astounding news with his followers.

“Doctors are completely astonished at how fast our sweet Leo recovered,” his post began.

“Of course, these docs might be surprised and wonder how this could happen, but we are certain of the answer: prayer,” he continued.

“To each of the thousands of you around the world who have been praying for our son, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you.”

Now, Leo is back at home with his family. Prayers go out for his continued healing, which has already been so amazing!
