Christian Comedian John Crist's Video 'Honest Fixer Upper' Will Make Your Sides Hurt Laughing

Share

Who doesn’t love HGTV’s “Fixer Upper?” I’m sure those people exist, but I just don’t like to have that kind of negativity in my life.

With Joanna Gaines’ impeccable design style, Chip’s shenanigans, and all of the shiplap your heart could ever desire, what’s not to love?

The show was a sweet reminder that nothing is too far gone to be redeemed, not even the scariest looking house in the neighborhood.

I may be a little biased, but there’s no wonder that the show gained such a cult following during its five seasons on the air.

As someone who was a faithful viewer of the show, I know that those of us who caught the “shiplap fever” are a little ridiculous, but if it involves all of those things listed above, I just don’t even care!

That’s why John Crist’s recent video is so hilarious.

Christian comedian John Crist is well known for his honest and relatable videos where he (mis)applies scripture to everyday situations.

One of my personal favorites is Crist’s “Christian Breakup Lines.”

Do you enjoy watching 'Fixer Upper'?

His recent “Every parent at Disney” video quickly went viral, and so has his video titled “Honest Fixer Upper.” It got over 850K views in just 24 hours.

The video is filmed in a house that has apparently already gone through Chip’s favorite day, “Demo Day.”

As he walks through the house, Crist rapidly spits out lines that a less gracious version of Chip and Joanna would say. Fans of the show will get every single one of these references.

“We can not move forward until we get the shiplap!”

“Oh, it’s demo day ladies and gentlemen.”

“Oh, y’all want historical AND modern? Brilliant! That’s not an oxymoron at all.”

“Y’all don’t want anything too suburban? Uh, you pulled up in a Honda Odyssey wearing khakis. You’re the definition of suburban.”

“Call me crazy, is this a swinging door? Not in this place. We need sliding barn doors only. Get this thing out of here. It makes me sick!”

“Where’s the shiplap?!”

Crist even brought in another popular HGTV show into the mix.

“You want all of this demo done today? I’m one person. I can’t clone myself here. I’m not the Property Brothers!”

These are hilarious! Did you catch all of the references?
