Groom Confined to Wheelchair Sobs Moment He Sees Bride Walk Down Aisle

Share

There is something undeniably sweet about listening to a man talk about how much he loves his wife. It’s even more heartwarming to see a groom cry as he watches his bride walk down the aisle.

When Justin Boisvert, 30, first met Sabrina, 27, on a dating website 10 years ago, he had no idea what the future would hold for them.

After messaging back and forth, the two decided to go out on a date. But for Justin, this meant telling Sabrina something he was always nervous to tell girls; He was in a wheelchair.

Justin was born with cerebral palsy and needed the wheelchair to get around. He was afraid that this would make Sabrina change her mind.

He said, “Before I met Sabrina I always worried about telling girls I was in a wheelchair. I thought she might be shocked or not want to go on the date anymore.”

Sabrina’s response completely caught him off guard. She replied, “That’s fine, you’re still human right? Lol!”

As the couple continued dating, they faced criticism from others, including Sabrina’s family, but she refused to focus on his wheelchair and instead grew to love the man sitting there instead.

Her family eventually did the same.

They supported each other through the loss of loved ones and learned how to love each other even after arguing.

“It’s been hard, but through it all we stuck by each other’s sides. We are stronger because of it all and there is no one I love more than her,” Justin said.

The couple got married on April 20, 2018 in front of 150 friends and family members.

As Justin watched Sabrina walk down the aisle, the love he felt for his bride poured out of him and he began to weep.

The photographer, Katie Marie, heard Justin crying as she was capturing the iconic shots of Sabrina. She turned around and knew that she also needed to document Justin’s reaction.

“I’ve seen a lot of emotional grooms as a wedding photographer, but this one hits home,” she wrote on Facebook. “I overheard the Priest kneel down and say ‘Justin, this is your day, this is your Bride,’ as Justin watched his wife walking towards him. I found it hard to hold it together myself.”

“When I saw her walking towards me, I just couldn’t breathe. I’ve never seen anything so stunning and beautiful in my life. Here she was, my everything that was and everything to be, looking absolutely breathtaking. I couldn’t help but lose myself in emotion,” he said.

Their wedding day was a perfect representation for the immense amount of love the couple continues to show to one another.

“She is an angel sent down by God to shed her light on others and I don’t know what I did to deserve her,” Justin said of his new wife. “She encourages me to strive to do my best and believes in me even when I don’t.”

“She sees me for the man that I am and not just the man in the wheelchair.”
