Stranger with Brain Tumor Surprises Homeless Teen at Work with New Car
It was a normal workday for Sionna Brenn; she went to take the trash out at her Texas Starbucks.
As soon as she threw the bag into the dumpster, Charlie Jabaley popped up with balloons and directed her attention behind her.
A black Toyota Corolla was driving toward her adorned with a big, red bow. When Jabaley told Brenn that the car was hers, she immediately held her face as tears streamed down.
When Jabaley heard her inspiring story and found out that she wouldn’t have transportation to get from college to work, he knew he needed to help. Jabaley even hired a company to teach her how to drive.
Jabaley is the former manager of the rapper group, 2 Chainz, but left the music industry when he was diagnosed with a brain tumor over a year ago.
“I became a millionaire before the age of 30, but I didn’t feel fulfilled. I realized that when I gave, I felt the happiest. I decided to become a different kind of millionaire. I want to transform the lives of a million people. I wanted to DO WHAT WAS RIGHT,” he wrote on an Instagram post.
That’s when #thedreammachinetour started. Their goal is to “touch people’s lives personally, helping in any way we can, even if just to inspire someone else to take the first step.”
He, along with his best friend Scotty Cams, is biking from New York to Los Angeles with the “Dream Machine,” helping people along the way. People like Brenn.
You see, Brenn is an honor student at her high school and has a scholarship to the University of Texas at San Antonio. While these are impressive accomplishments for anyone, she has achieved them while also being homeless.
She was adopted from Ethiopia when she was 9 years old, but she soon had to leave. “In the deepest shadows, it was very abusive. Families were very harsh but I’ve overcome it through His power,” she told Fox News.
Brenn started working at Starbucks to support herself after leaving that abusive environment. She said, “More than anything, glory to God because I wouldn’t be here without Him.”
“It’s more than a dream. It’s crazy,” Brenn said in response to the unexpected gift. She then wrote her dream next to many others on the brightly colored bus: “to reach the world with the gospel of Christ.”
Jabaley mission to help others’ dreams come true is extremely inspiring! He’s hoping to influence other people to do the same.
